Our ‘Core Service’ PMO Delivery…

what we do, what it looks like, when and how…

we work across residential, commercial, education, leisure and industrial sectors.

strategy, risk and innovation processes

…we include strategy, risk and innovation processes – core to our working practices – as well as the delivery of architecture, design and engineering projects. All of these forms of process and delivery, benefit from a critical exploration of ‘lessons learned’ but also what is possible; looking ahead to the future.

The objective is to ensure that future design opportunities are maximised and that current and future operational risks are minimised.

portfolio capacity planning; the full potential of what you’ve got…

…real estate portfolio owners and operations people like TfL ask us to analyse then manage their property portfolio; to make it clear for them existing and proposed expenditure in order to move everyone around. Partly about ‘bums on seats’ mostly about agile working practices, refurbishment programmes and building services. To maximise economic usage of building assets and ensure real estate value in terms of lease and sale to protect profit – fully realised from the built assets.

helping the team; needs analysis, Asset + Organisational reviews…

…we help others understand what they are doing, why and when related to overall delivery process. We are the facilitators; so that teams engage. This is so that we can build the overall business knowledge from the very best work practices within the teams. Then we place this knowledge ‘clean, clear and forefront’ in order to form the basis of the EIR – employers information requirements. Ensuring that the best solutions are integrated into the project brief, NOT hangovers from the past or broken, unnecessary or inefficient working practices. The format of these workshops where we are the trainer and the coach who unifies the team and brings about the wider ‘buy-in’ for clients, stakeholders and operatives – that you need from the outset of a project.

app automation; for real time access to collaborative knowledge…

…we design business ‘apps’; mobile software UI UX user experience and user interfaces through necessity for successful project delivery as a PM. Projects are so complex and fast flowing that we need to use technology to unlock issues with speed of communication. This is to enable the teams to have ready access to the information they need; to make the complex simple. Any client systems and legacy data can be accessed from a proprietary cloud based management interface with dashboards, risk management and collaborative discussions on finding solutions to the evolving challenges on a project as it moves through it’s design stages; strategy through operations and end of life into new business.

Fire Engineering; getting life and property safety – right…

…it’s rare that someone thinks of FE initially for a project – however this is a service we provide which truly unlocks the potential of new build, office moves or refurbishment – especially within listed buildings. It’s all about proscriptive compliance in terms of statutory norms such as AD approved documents, then looking at BS9999 and where necessary BS 7974. It may not make any sense to focus on final exit door width or stair discounting when the proscriptive nature of a basic understanding of compliance does not improve life or property safety. Real solutions protect lives and in doing so save clients vast sums of money and time.

understanding the client’s project life cycle; knowing entry points…

…we have learned to diversify; to be ready to deliver an interconnected service. We set out what I do and when – with focus on clear deliverables yet always keeping an eye on any opportunity to give more than required to create ‘raving fan’ customers. We have been through this entire life cycle hundreds of times and we know how to help you through; effectively with efficiency. We make sure you get the strategic outcome you want with surety of time, cost and quality.

leading the team; as the trainer, the coach, the enabler…

…we are the catalyst for change – on a people level, operations and built environment. There are points of convergence on any project where a solution can be found and the way forward unlocked. We lead the team linking design to operations. We understand that early or late handover of design with confusion and lack of transparency has severe impact to your project in terms of cost, quality and time. All services from multi-disciplinary team members must be customised and responsive to the procurement route and the contracts to be formed.

where’s my money and time gone? – show me and make it clear…

…people want to know where all their money is going relative to project objectives – they want full transparency in  terms of reporting and the resultant decision making. We map understanding across disciplines and against known frames of reference depending on the make up of the group. This allows people to interface on known terms and compare new information against what they are familiar with from their business experience. Examples of recent experience has been understanding say TfL’s 16 business processes moving to unification under Pathway, combined with our knowledge of quality + governance matched with necessities of operations across sectors + disciplines enables our support team to map and action such controls into realisable day to day functions for your in-house FM management and your 3rd party suppliers.

BIM process; controls, training and implementation…

…We ensure the team are working to known benchmarks of excellence – we know from project experience that this is the point to focus upon. Ensuring deliverables are clear in terms of what is being done and when; most importantly why – related to the milestones of the project programme and the necessary knowledge sharing and timed exchange of information that is required within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. We set out training plans in addition to these execution models to enable, managers and the operations team achieve BIM level 2 compliance and beyond into ‘single model’ delivery.
